Stage 1 - Ummm, you call this flat?!

Hello Belgium countryside! What a day out there today. So we're officially into the Tour with the first real stage of riding finished. It was a great day out there! The team worked well together and we cruised through the 196km 'flat stage' (I call bullshit). 8,000ft of climbing isn't exactly what I'd consider a flat stage but I guess when you're not climbing huge mountains in the Pyrenees it doesn't count. It should at least be considered a medium stage I think. But oh we'll, I like climbing and am feeling awesome so I'll take it.

I did have my first experience with nettle though, so that was very exciting... not a fan..

Also, if you are following the tour, first of all you HAVE to watch tomorrow's stage for at least the last 5k. It's gonna be sick! There is this amazing cobbled climb that is steep as shit and it's going to be fun to watch the real guys go after it. And secondly, you HAVE to watch the tour this summer because we have a commercial running! We filmed it out at the Santa Rosa camp in May and we got the final cut of it yesterday. It actually should start running today during the Prologue. Watch for it and you'll get to see the amazing Cannondale SuperSix Evo women's bike that we are using and let me just say, it is one badass bike!

Ok. That's all for now.  Maybe post pics in a little bit, check back soon. Great day, great people, and awesome riding. Can believe the adventure is finally happening!
