The Prologue: A Rainy Day in Belgium

Kate leading the way!
Well, we're officially underway!  It was a rainy day here in Belgium, which I've been repeatedly reminded by all the bike racers back home that this is normal for this area... thanks Tim and Rory.  But despite the rain and crazy Dutch cyclists riding along with us, we made our way over to Liege and around the course and managed to only get lost once or twice...

Really, the day was pretty chill with a nice little breakfast at this wicked cool bike club (yes like a golf club) in Holland.  Then it was a quick drive down to Liege, or the nearby town we are staying in that is about 15km away.  After settling in for a bit and meeting the Dutch guys we will be sharing hotels with, we were off to earn the first yellow jersey of the Tour.
We're in Yellow!

Back home we were stoked to see the SRAM guys stopped by to say hello, good luck, and get us all geared up for tomorrow.  Our bikes have been crazy awesome and having the support of these awesome companies like Cannondale, SRAM, and Zipp really makes a difference.  We'll be flying up those mountains like they're nothing... maybe ;)

Anyways, looking forward to tomorrow and finally getting this puppy underway with a nice big one to start.  197km to stage 2... oh boy.

More pics to come... but Euro internet can be slow...
