Today was, well, rough. Everyone thinks the flat stages will be the easiest but I definitely had an inkling that they would be some of our hardest of the trip. Today was just that. The stage was 207km (about 128miles) and it was dead flat. We did have one Cat4 climb that was awesome though!
The wind was really going today and it just sucks the energy right out of you. My legs are much more tired than I was hoping after a stage like today so I'm just hoping the wind cooperates with us a little more in the next few days of flat roads.
We also had a bit of a mishap and two of our girls went down. We got mixed up in another group of guys riding the stage and they hit wheels and took down Jennifer and Maria. Everyone seems to be OK and we all finished together so goal number one accomplished.
