Stage 3 - There Will Be Ups and Downs

Well yesterday was not an awesome day, but it just goes to show how quickly things can change out here because today was pretty fantastically sweet. The first half of the stage was very flat, and real flat, not this 8,000ft of climbing kind of flat. It was windy but not nearly as bad as yesterday. We had some great company and everyone seemed to find their groove a little more.

The second half of the stage had some climbing! Yay! You'd think flat was easier but for me, adding some climbs in really makes a difference for me, mentally if not physically.

The climbs were all very short but wicked steep. Something we don't have a ton of in Colorado. But they're over so fast you don't really start to feel them until they're over! For you Boulder folks, the climbs were like the backside of Lee Hill, short, sweet, steep!

Our last climb brought us over some hills into the city of Boulogne Sur Mer where we had the most beautiful view overlooking the sea. What a gorgeous place here in France.

Anyways, we're off to our hotel now, a longer transfer today. You should watch the Tour tomorrow cause it will be a fun final 10miles!
