Time trialing is awesome. Let’s just put that out there. It’s my favorite thing in the world to race and sometimes I wish that was all I had to do in races, enough with the swimming and running stuff on either end… But, yes, time trials are sweet. You get to geek out on all the aero equipment and what gear ratios, and all of that fun nerd stuff. You also get to just gut it out and test your will.

With all of that said, our TT was supposed to be more of a rest day since we’re not racing and it was just a quick 45k stage to get done and move on to the real rest day.
Kym, Kate, and I however, went against what most people would have probably advised, and raced the shit out of it!
We were flying through that course like nobody’s business and it felt so good to push hard.
Everything so far has be conserve, conserve, conserve, that my legs were feeling a little stiff and lifeless.
So actually throwing down on the TT may have livened them up a bit.
We had a lot of fun swooping through towns and snaking down descents.
It was awesome.

Plus, we got done so fast that Kate and I rode off to a nearby town to find some food and we came across an awesome little street market.
We got some delicious cheese and bread, cherries, and a pastry and had ourselves a nice little post TT picnic.
Now it’s time for some real rest and recovery.
